BREAKOUT SESSIONS

SESSION A

Discipling the Next Generation by Jeff Borton
- Main Stage

How to intentionally engage students in becoming disciples who make disciples.

Cultivating a Relationship-Driven Youth Ministry by Nathan Pifer
- Youth Room

Ultimately, relationships between youth leaders and students, and christian students with their peers, are the avenue through which the love of God is shared with students who come to your youth group. We are going to talk about actions and attitudes necessary for promoting deep relationships within your youth group to develop it into a loving, supportive, Christ-centered community that your students will want to invite their friends to, and seeking students will want to become a part of.

Youth Ministry is a Small Church Setting by Greg McCallum
- Fellowship Hall

Are you like the majority of youth pastors/workers who are serving in a small church setting? Smaller is not “Less!” No matter if your youth ministry has 4 students or 400 students we are all called to serve students that Christ has placed in our ministry. Come and be encouraged by other small church youth workers. Share ideas, explore what others are doing and take a look at some practices that can help you effectively minister to your students no matter how “small” your ministry is.

SESSION B

Purity is Possible by Sid Koop
- Main Stage

Pornography has a deepening grasp on our culture and our students, with serious consequences. In this session we'll look at the practical implications of its impact, and how we can come alongside students to instil biblical truths and engage in safe (though still sometimes uncomfortable!) grace-filled conversations that point them to Jesus. We'll walk through a practical 7-week guide designed to help youth workers journey with students towards freedom so that they can experience God's grace and healing.

Prioritizing God's Command to GO in Your Ministry by Mark Hymus & Jeremy Best
- Youth Room

Join the discussion as Mark & Jeremy both share from years of experience on helping their youth ministries and staff to live on mission. Learn about the importance of missions trips both far away and in your own community.

Small Groups - Why they are Essential by Kevin White
- Fellowship Room

Come and hear inspiring stories as well as get some tools on how to create and facilitate small groups in youth ministry. It has been said, "Join a small group - or die." (Not by me, but hey, small groups are pretty important)

IDEA: Each of these sessions will bring valuable insight in student ministry that we recommend you ensure your team spreads out and collectively hears them all! Be sure to also set a date to get together post-Summit and share the insights with one another.
